HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) – Republican challenger Amie Hoeber is sharpening her attack on U.S. Rep. John Delaney less than two weeks before Election Day in Maryland’s 6th Congressional District.
Hoeber painted the two-term Democratic incumbent as childish and insincere during a Chamber of Commerce breakfast forum Wednesday in Hagerstown.
She referred to his participation in a sit-in for gun control that House Democrats staged in June as “kindergarten games.”
And Hoeber accused Delaney of insincerity for espousing a bipartisan philosophy but voting largely along party lines.
Delaney countered that the nonpartisan analytical organization GovTrack has ranked him third highest among House Democrats in writing bipartisan bills.
