Two Men Arrested Following A Drug Transaction

One was picked up on Thurs. night, the other on Fri. afternoon.

Frederick, Md (KM)  The Frederick Police Street Crimes Team took a local man into custody Thursday night after observing him involved in a drug transaction.  John Arthur Green, 32, is charged with one count each of possession and distribution of cocaine.

Officers say they observed Green get in and get out a series of vehicles at several stops along Key Parkway, which they say is indicative of a drug transaction. After Green got into his own car, it was stopped along West Patrick Street near Baughmans Lane for an improperly working brake light.

A police canine was brought to the scene, and the dog gave a positive sniff for drugs in the vehicle. Police say a white powdery substance was observed on Green’s shirt and on the driver’s seat of his car, which authorities believe is cocaine.

Green told officers he received the cocaine from another individual named Tyrill Thomas  Price.

Green was taken to the Adult Detention Center.

On Friday afternoon, Frederick Police arrested Price.

Officers say they received word that Price was behind a building at the Windsor Garden Apartments on Key Parkway. Authorities converged on Price and took him into custody.

A search of Price’s person following the arrest netted 6.5 grams of cocaine on his person.

Price was taken to the Adult Detention Center. He’s charged with one count of distribution of cocaine, and three counts each of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession of cocaine.
