Police Find Car Involved In Vehicle Crash, But No Occupants

Authorities say the occupants fled before officers arrived.

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM)  Hagerstown Police are searching for the occupants of a car which was involved in a vehicle crash.

Officers say they were dispatched to 1301 Oak Hill Avenue at 3:01 AM on Thursday to investigate a report of car into a porch. When they arrived, police found the vehicle, but no occupants. They had fled prior to the arrival of officers.

A canine track of the area was conducted, but the individuals were not found.

Authorities say they learned that the car had been reported stolen from the corner of Magnolia Drive and Potomac Avenue  prior to the crash.

Hagerstown Police also say they’ve seen an increase in vehicle theft recently, mostly due to residents leaving their cars unlocked with the keys inside. Citizens are urge to lock their cars,  do not leave the keys inside; and make sure to remove any valuables.
