Officials say that there were 257 anti-Muslim hate crimes (compared to 154 in 2014). For the record, more than half of such attacks were centered around race, ethnicity or ancestry. At least one-thousand incidents were each documented on bias against religion and sexual orientation. Other hate crimes were based on disabilities, gender and gender identity.
How will 2016 shape up? No one’s sure, but according to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), there have been more than 200 reports of hate-based intimidation and harassment alone since Election Day. To read the complete FBI report, CLICK HERE.
