Frederick County Government Offices To Close On Thanksgiving Day

They will reopen on Monday, November 28th.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM)  Frederick County Government offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 24th and 25th. They will resume normal business hours on Monday, November 28th.

The recycling center at the landfill on Reichs Ford Road will be closed on Thursday, but will be open on Friday and Saturday from 7:00 AM until 4:30 PM. There will be no curbside recycling on Thanksgiving, and all collections will shift one day later from the normal pickup for the rest of the week.

Public libraries will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will be reopen at normal business hours on Friday.

The county’s Animal Control and Adoption Center will close on Wednesday, November 23rd at 5:00 PM, and be closed on Thanksgiving Day. It will open on Friday, November 25th, with the showing of animals for adoption between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

State offices will be closed on November 24th and 25th, including the Board of Elections, Department of Social Services and the Health Department.

TransIT Services will not be operating on Thanksgiving Day. TransIT-Plus will not operate on Friday, November 25th, but all other TransIT services will be available the day after Thanksgiving.
