Saturation Patrols Being Conducted During Holiday Season By Frederick Police

The effort will cut down on drunken and drugged drivers.

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police say they will be conducting saturation patrols this holiday season to keep the roads safe from drunken and drugged drivers. The agency says these patrols help promote awareness and reduce the number of alcohol-impaired motorists on the roads.

Authorities say traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for Maryland residents.

If you see an impaired driver, you’re strongly urged to call 911.

The saturation patrols are conducted in partnership with the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration’s Highway Safety Office as part a year-long campaign to keep Frederick area roads safe for residents and travelers.

Police say they conduct these patrols and checkpoints throughout the year to target drunken and drugged drivers.
