FUNKSTOWN, MD. (DG)-A 58-year-old Washington County woman is charged with setting her vehicle on fire Saturday morning.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office said Diane Fulk is charged with second-degree arson and malicious destruction of property.
Officials say fire fighters responded to the Park-and-Ride on Sharpsburg Pike in Hagerstown on December 3 at 10 AM. It took fire crews 10 minutes to put out the blaze. No one was injured. Emergency crews transported Fulk to Meritus Medical Center for a medical evacuation.
The fire damaged Fulk’s 2008 Kia four-door sedan. As a result of the fire, a 2015 Chevy pick up truck near her vehicle was also damaged by radiant heat. Damage is estimated at $12,000 to the Kia and $250 to the Chevy truck.
