The body of the deceased has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
Boonsboro, Md. (KM) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate the cause and origin of a fatal fire Sunday afternoon in Boonsboro.
Fire fighters from Boonsboro and surrounding communities responded to 322 Lanafield Drive at around 2:17 after a neighbor called 911.
More than 60 fire fighters spent 30-minutes bringing the flames under control. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
Officials say the deceased was found inside the home by fire fighters. That person has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and cause of death.
Fire fighters say three dogs also perished in the blaze.
