It happened early Sat. morning in Hagerstown.
Hagerstown, Md (KM) Hagerstown Police continue to investigate a fatal hit and run early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the 300 block of the Dual Highway in front of the Sheetz Store at around 4:40 AM, and learned that Katlyn Marie Hughes, 24, of Hagerstown, was walking home when she was struck by a motor vehicle.
She was taken by ambulance to Meritus Medical Center where she pronounced dead.
Witnesses told the police that the driver of the striking vehicle never stopped.
Officers say the vehicle is described as a gray or silver PT Cruiser, which may have some front end damage.
