Man Arrested After Police Found Over 22 Grams Of Pot

The traffic stop ended in a drug arrest.

FREDERICK, MD. (DG)-Frederick Police arrested a man after a traffic stop late Wednesday night.

Police say they stopped an SUV in the area of N. Bentz Street at W. Fifth Street around 10:40 PM for a traffic violation.

The officer made contact with the driver and immediately smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The driver, Nathaniel Anthony Bowie, was placed under arrest. He was searched, and a plastic bag containing marijuana was found.

While searching Bowie’s vehicle, police found another bag of in the center console. The total weight of the marijuana found was 22.8 grams.

Bowie was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and charged with possession of marijuana.
