New School Fitness Facilities

FREDERICK, Md. (LR)  Governor Larry Hogan announced Tuesday that three Maryland schools will be be selected to receive $100,000 fitness centers.

According to a news release, The National Foundation for Governors’ Fitness Councils (NFGFC) has selected Maryland as one of the recipient states for its 2017 DON’T QUIT! fitness campaign.

The NFGFC will award state-of-the-art fitness centers to three Maryland Schools for demonstrating leadership in getting and keeping their students fit.

Governor Hogan says he encourages all Maryland elementary and middle schools to apply.  Educators can nominate their school at www.natgovfit.org from February 1st to May 31st.
