UNION BRIDGE, Md. (KR) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a hay bale fire in Union Bridge that happened yesterday.
Fire officials say, they responded to the 1700 block of Clear View Road in Carroll County and found 45 round hay bales that were engulfed in flames. Authorities say a passerby noticed the fire and called 911.
It took 30 firefighters, from the Taneytown Volunteer Fire Department, 30 minutes to bring the flames under control. No one was injured. The estimated damage is $1200.
