Two Charged In Connection With Assault In Frederick In Feb.

One faces charges of attempted 1st-degree murder.


Frederick, Md (KM) Two juveniles have been charged as adults in connection with a fight which occurred last month in Frederick. Edwin Adona Bernardino-Boj  and Brandon Bernardino-Boj  are charged with assault, weapons offenses and participating in a criminal gang. Both are active members of M-S 13. Edwin is charged with attempted first-degree murder, and Brandon is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

Authorities say the they responded to a fight on February 10th shortly before 7:00 PM in the 100 block of Key Parkway. They met with a juvenile victim, who had been assaulted by two males. It was reported that weapons were used in the assault, but the victim was not injured as the result of any weapons.

A detective was able to identify Edwin and Brandon Bernardino-Boj as the suspects. They were indicted by the Grand Jury on February 23rd.
Because of the seriousness of the crime, Frederick Police Special Response Team officers served a search warrant on an apartment two shared in the 1400 block of Key Parkway. The two were taken into custody by the detectives from the Street Crimes Team and the Criminal Investigations Division.

They were taken to the Adult Detention Center for processing.
