Names Of Two Men Involved In Road Rage Shooting Released

State Police say the incident remains under investigation.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) State Police have identified the two men involved in a road rage shooting Tuesday afternoon.

The victim, Paul David Thompson, of Sharpsburg was shot in the left foot and the thigh. He was medivaced to Shock Trauma in Baltimore where he underwent surgery. Troopers say his injuries are not-life threatening.

 

The other man Darrell Lee Baker, 26, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, was treated for his injuries to his head at Frederick Memorial Hospital and released.
The shooting occurred along westbound Route 340 near Route 180.  Both men got into an argument, and Thompson was shot, according to investigators.

State Police say the investigation is continuing and no charges have been filed at this time.

The Frederick News-Post says Baker is a correctional officer at the Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg. The paper says Baker has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
