HANCOCK, Md. (KR) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a house fire that was put out quickly on Sunday by the Hancock Fire Department.
Fire officials say, a single family home in the 1400 block of Maple Ridge Road caught fire on a outside rear step of the house. Twenty-five fire-fighters from Hancock responded to the scene and were able to control the flames in five minutes.
There were no injuries in the fire and the cause is under investigation. Total estimated damage to the home is $5000.
