Route 63 was closed down until early Wednesday morning
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (DG) – A two vehicle accident shut down a busy roadway in Washington County this week.
Maryland State Police say a Volkswagon Jetta, operated by Brent Horst, was stopped on Route 63 (Greencastle Pike) at Broadfording Road on Tuesday evening around 6 PM.
A Ford truck, driven by Douglas Martin, didn’t see the Jetta stopped in the roadway. The truck struck the vehicle and pushed it off the roadway. The Ford continued and hit a utility pole which broke in half.
Route 63 was closed down until early Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported
