FREDERICK, Md. (KR) The Frederick Memorial Hospital Joint Works Pogrom is inviting people suffering with joint pain and arthritis to come out for an informative event.
Attendees will get to listen to Surgeon Dr. Robert Fisher, as he discusses step by step guidance on the process to diagnose and treat the arthritic joint.
Dr. Fisher says the goal of the evening is to help people decide if joint replacement is right for them.
“Basically, we’re talking about hip and knee replacements and we’re looking at who would be a good candidate for that and it would mean that they would have a substantial amount of joint destruction on their x-ray, they have pain and disability and can’t do the things they want to do,” said Dr. Fisher.
He said joint surgery is something he does often.
“I’ve done at least 6,000 total joints. I will do anywhere between five to eight per week,” said Dr. Fisher.
The event will be on Wednesday, May 17th from 6-8 PM at the FMH Crestwood Conference Center in Frederick. Attendance is limited to 75 people. Light refreshments will be served.
