Five Charged With Home Invasion Robbery

Police are also trying to identify two more suspects.

 

 

Frederick, Md (IKM) Three juveniles  and two adults were arrested  with a home invasion robbery Sunday night. They’re identified as Ezra Smith, 16, Brian Peacock, 22, John Bartgis, 18, and Evonte Cooper, 16.. They’re all charged with home invasion, armed robbery, robbery, theft less than $1,000, 1st-degree assault and reckless endangerment. One other youth was charged as a juvenile with  home invasion, armed robbery, robbery, theft less than $1,000, 1st-degree assault, reckless endangerment, having a handgun on his person and use of a handgun in a violent crime.

Frederick Police say officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at around 9:36 PM on Sunday to investigate reports of six males who entered a residence and displayed handguns. They took various items and left.

Investigators learned that the stolen property was located at a home on Ambleside Drive. Officers served a search and seizure warrant on that address and another location on Military Road. Evidence was recovered from both locations, police say.

All five individuals were taken to police headquarters on Monday evening, After being interviewed,. all but one of the juveniles were taken to the Adult Detention Center. The other youth was transported to an area juvenile detention center.

Authorities say two other suspects need to be identified.
