Frederick Teenager Charged In Monday Shooting On Ladd Lane.

He’s being charged as an adult.

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the shooting Monday afternoon in the 7100 block of Ladd Lane. Neal Stevenson Hall,17, of Frederick is charged as an adult with 1st- and 2nd-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.

“Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office were able to develop a suspect through interviews and witness accounts of part of their ongoing investigation,” says Major Tim Clarke with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition, Major Clarke says two search and seizure warrants were served on Tuesday which linked Hall to the shooting. “Frederick City Police were working closely with our investigators because we believe a lot of this is related to a lot of the shooting incidents they’ve had in the city as well,” he says. But Clarke says no link has been developed between Monday’s shooting and other shootings in the Frederick area.

Deputies and fire and rescue personnel were dispatched to Crestwood Village shortly after 5:00 PM on Monday for a shooting. They found a 16-year-old male from Frederick with a gunshot wound to theĀ  rear upper thigh area. He was transported to Meritus Medical Center where he was treated and later released.

Major Clarke says the victim and Hall knew each other.

An investigation revealed that the victim and his friends were on the grounds of the Emmanuel Alliance Church in the 7100 block of Ladd Lane when a lone gunman started firing on them. All of these individuals fled across New Design Road to get away from the shooter.

Major Clarke says the investigation into this incident is continuing, and anyone who has additional information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office. They can call Detective Britt at 301-600-3601, or call the TIPS LINEĀ  at 301-600-4131.
