Police say not a hate crime.
FREDERICK, Md (DG). – The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office investigated why a noose was hanging from a tree in the area of Kirkland Drive and Wade Court in the Ballenger Creek Meadows neighborhood.
On Monday shortly before 10 AM, police received a call from a man who said he found an extension cord tied into a noose hanging from a tree outside of his apartment building.
Deputies investigated the incident and later confirmed it was not a hate crime, but rather someone who had attempted suicide. That person was been taken to the hospital for treatment.
