Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man was arrested Wednesday at Mullinix Park for causing a disturbance. Hardy Nathaniel Small, 36, is charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and two counts of 2nd-degree assault on a police officer.

Frederick Police say two officers on patrol in the park came upon a man who was being loud and screaming. He was told to quiet down, but officers say he continued to be loud and caused a scene. As he was being placed under arrest, authorities say he fought with the two officers, assaulting both of them. The two cops asked for assistance and were able to place Small under arrest.

He was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital to be checked out before being transported to the Adult Detention Center.
