This followed a traffic stop this week.
Frederick, Md (KM) A man and woman from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania were taken into custody Wednesday night in Frederick after drugs and a weapon were found in a vehicle.
Police say Sean Andrew Norris, 27, was the driver of a car which was pulled over in the 900 block of West Patrick Street for making an unsafe lane change and displaying expired plates. .
Officers with the Street Crimes Unit say Norris was acting nervous, unable to make eye contact or to put together a complete sentence. A police canine was called to the scene. The dog did a sniff and indicated the presence of drugs.
Norris was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. Police say he had a switchblade-style knife on his person.
The vehicle was searched and officers found two “loaded” heroin syringes and drug paraphernalia in the front seat passenger’s purse. Gabrieller Rose Strine, 19, was placed under arrest.
Authorities say a loaded handgun was found under the driver’s seat.
Norris is charged with one count each possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of contraband within the Adult Detention Center, carrying a dangerous weapon on his person and transporting a concealed handgun in a vehicle. Strine is charged with one count of possession of heroin, and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
