DUI Checkpoint Arrest in Hagerstown

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (KR)  Maryland State Police, Washington County Sheriff’s Department and Hagerstown City Police arrested multiple people during a DUI checkpoint in Hagerstown.

On Saturday, between 9:30 PM and 11:00 PM police stopped drivers on Route 40 east of Crest View Road.  Two vehicles were pulled aside for additional screening and one person was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.

Authorities say, the check point was targeting drivers who were impaired by drugs and alcohol. Multiple people were arrested for DUI’s throughout the night.

Police say, during the operation, 435 cars passed through the checkpoint.
