No injuries, but several pets perished in the blaze.
Hampstead, Md (KM) A fire damaged a home in Hampstead in Carroll County on Saturday afternoon.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says 30 fire fighters were dispatched to 234 South Houcksville Road at around 3:45 PM, and spend 24-minutes bringing the flames under control.
Damage is estimated at $60,000 to the structure and $60,000 to the contents.
Investigators say the fire originated in the laundry room, but the cause remains under investigation.
There were no injuries, but multiple pets perished in the fire. The family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
