Middletown Man Convicted Of Child Abuse, Assault

He’s scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 25th.


Frederick, Md (KM) A Middletown man who was convicted of 2nd-degree child abuse and 2nd-degree assault is scheduled to be sentenced on August 25th. A jury found Eukpeeh Lloyd, 41, guilty of those two offenses after a trial which began on Thursday, June 15th.  . He was acquitted of two counts of 1st-degree assault.

The jury deliberated for one hours before reaching its verdict.

The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says a deputy was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center in October 21st, 2016 last year for a domestic report. The victim in this case was a 13-year-old boy who had been beaten with a metal broom handle, and whipped with an extension cord for not properly cleaning a bathroom. The child had 4- to 5-inch a gash in his leg above his knee, injuries on his arm, whip marks on his back and other scars from a previous assault.

Bond for Lloyd was revoked at the request of the State. Judge Julia A. Martz-Fisher ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
