He was arrested following a traffic stop.
Rockville, Md (KM) Montgomery County Police are asking anyone who has had an encounter with Philip Jonathan Ross,19, of Dickerson to give them a call.
Ross was arrested Monday of last week along the Intercounty Connector westbound just past Georgia Avenue for speeding and making unsafe lane changes. During that time, police say Ross had activated the emergency white and red lights on his Ford Crown Victoria, encouraging drivers to move out of the way.
After he was stopped, authorities say he presented a metal badge to the arresting officer and a “special agent” identification. He was arrested and charged with impersonating a police officer and some traffic offenses.
Detectives want to know if anyone has had any personal contact with Ross as he was presenting himself as a police officer. If you have had contact with Ross, you’re asked to call Montgomery County Police 6th District Investigative Unit at 240-773-5770.
