Police Arrest Disorderly Suspect Whose Also Charged With Theft

He was standing in the road, blocking traffic, according to authorities.

Frederick, Md (KM) While investigating reports of a suspicious person on Friday afternoon, Frederick Police arrested a man for stealing items from a Sheriff’s Office vehicle.

An officer was flagged down at around 1:23 PM by a citizen in the first block of South Market Street who complained about a man being disorderly and yelling at passing vehicles. The cop approached Ali Gohar Lal, 29, of Frederick who was standing in the road shouting profanities. He was told to lower his voice and get out of the road. Police say he continued to yell at officers and stand in the roadway blocking traffic. Lal was arrested.

Officers say they searched Lal’s person and found items stolen from a Sheriff’s Office vehicle earlier in the day.

Lal was taken to the Adult Detention Center for processing. He’s charged with disorderly conduct, being a rogue and a vagabond, failure to obey the lawful order of a police officer, theft less than $100 and tampering with a motor vehicle.
