Frederick, Md. (KM) One person has been charged with the robbery of the Thrift Angel Consignment and Thrift Shop at 919 North East Street Thursday afternoon. Alexander Kaleo Mewshaw has been charged with robbery, theft and assault.
Frederick Police were dispatched to the store shortly after 3:00 PM to investigate reports of a robbery. They spoke with witnesses who say a white male entered the store, and took the cash register. He was seen getting into a black vehicle and driving away.
Detectives say they were able to locate Mewshaw after reviewing video surveillance and taking statements from witnesses. He was taken into custody without incident.
