A Dodge Ram pickup truck collided with a bicyclist.
TANEYTOWN, Md. (DG) – The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident involving a bicyclist.
Police and EMS responded to a reported accident shortly after 12:30 AM this (Friday) morning.
Once on scene, deputies found a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup truck collided with a bicyclist. The bicyclist, identified as Harrision Thomas Earls, 20 years old from Taneytown, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed that both the truck, driven by Ty Schulte, 24 years old from Littlestown, Pennsylvania, and the bicyclist were traveling northbound on Route 194 at the time of the collision.
Members of the Crash Reconstruction Unit are continuing their investigation into the accident.
