Frederick, Md (KM) All Frederick city sports fields are closed today, Friday, July 28th, due to inclement weather and forecasted storms. Officials say that includes city leased fields and school fields.
No one is permitted to use the fields when they’re closed.
Violators could face penalties. Permitted leagues caught using closed fields could face fines, and/or the possible loss of the use of the field for the rest of the season. Unpermitted users could be issued a citation or a warning.
The latest on the status of city sports fields can be found by going on line to www.cityoffrederick.com, or call 301-600-6970, and press option 3. Closings are posted by 2:00 PM on weekdays, and by 8:00 AM Saturdays and Sundays.
