The bodies found could be connect to the missing persons case in Loudoun County.
Loudoun County, VA (DG) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is confirming a grim discovery.
Police report the vehicle in a missing persons case was located around 5:30 p.m. Monday in the area of Evergreen Mills Road and Hogeland Mill Lane near Leesburg.
The vehicle appears to have lost control and left the roadway. It was located upside down in Sycolin Creek. An adult female and two children lost their lives as a result of the crash.
The vehicle was connected to a missing persons case after 27-year-old Courtney Ashe, of Suffolk, Virginia, was last seen leaving a family member’s home in Ashburn Friday night with 9-year-old Jaylen Sills-Russell, and 5-year-old Cameron Martin.
The Office of the Medical Examiner is working with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office to positively identify the victims.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
