Lonaconing, Md (KM) A fire heavily damaged a home in Allegany County, Maryland on Wednesday afternoon. Damage is estimated at $75,000 to the structure and $25,000 to the contents, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Officials say fire fighters responded to 6 Pershing Street in Lonaconing at around 1:40 PM for a single family, wood-farmed home on fire. They spent 20-minutes bringing the flames under control. There were no injuries.
Investigators say the cause was accidental due to an electrical malfunction.
