Frederick Man Charged With Weapons, Traffic Offenses

He was arrested Friday in downtown Frederick.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police have charged a local man with traffic and weapons offenses. Allan Layquan Frazier, 20, was arrested on Friday.

Officers on foot in the 100 block of North Market Street saw a vehicle pull into a parking spot, and strike another vehicle parked one space up. Police contacted the driver and the passenger, who at first were not very cooperative.  But the operator gave the officers his license.

Authorities say it was evident that Frazier was under the influence of alcohol, and they also learned his license was suspended. Officers also found a fully loaded, 22-caliber handgun on Frazier’s person. He was taken into custody.

While the investigation was underway, police say group of females not involved in the incident gathered around and tried to start something. But the Police Department said its officers maintained their professionalism.

Frazier was taken to the Adult Detention Center for processing. He is charged with violating restrictions on possession of ammunition; violating restrictions on the possession of a firearm; possession of a firearm and ammunition by a minor; wearing, carrying and transporting a weapon; driving while impaired by alcohol; driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol; driving on a suspended license; driving a vehicle in violation of a restricted license requirement; and possessing a suspended license.
