Man Arrested At Group Home For Setting Mattress On Fire

No one was hurt.

 

 

Westminster, Md (KM) A man living in a group home in Westminster was arrested for trying set a mattress on fire.; Brian Allen Faith, 28, is charge d with 1st-degree arson, 2nd-degree arson, 2nd-degree malicious burning and six counts of reckless endangerment.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office says fire fighters from the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded on Sunday to  1382 Allison Court, which is the location of a group home owned by Benchmark Human Services for a mattress on fire in a bedroom. But the  fire was out by the time they arrived.

Investigators say Faith set the fire by pouring lighter fluid in the center of the mattress and setting it ablaze. Damage is estimated at $599.  No one was hurt.

Faith was taken into custody.
