A family’s home has been destroyed by fire in Smithsburg.
Smithsburg, Md (LR) The State Fire Marshal’s Office says fifty-four firefighters responded to 100 Daniels Court early Tuesday morning and spent an hour and a half bringing the flames under control.
No one was hurt.
Investigators say the fire started in the garage.
The home is a total loss with damage estimated at $230,000 to the structure and $100,000 to its contents.
The family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
