One man killed – five others flown to Shock Trauma.
Thurmont, Md. (DG) – A 37-year-old Adelphi man was killed in a three car accident early Sunday morning in Northern Frederick County.
Police say Carlos Deanilo Pablo-Lopez was driving his Toyota Camry east on Route 77 when he tried to pass a Chevrolet Tahoe, also traveling in the eastbound lane.
When the Camry crossed the double yellow line into westbound lanes of Route 77, it struck a Ford F-350 pick-up truck head on.
The Tahoe then struck the rear of the Camry.
Pablo-Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene. Two boys and three girls who were passengers in the Tahoe were flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment.
