Md. Fire Marshal’s Office Safely Disposes Of Explosives

They were found in a home in Sharpsburg.

 

 

Sharpsburg, Md. (KM) There were no injuries following the discovery of explosives in a home in Sharpsburg Thursday morning.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says around 9:00 AM a man cleaning out the home of a deceased person at 17326 Taylors Landing Road found some dynamite and blasting caps. He contacted emergency officials.

Bomb Squad technicians were called to the scene and safely disposed of the explosives.

Fire fighters and medics from the Halfway Volunteer Fire Company stood by while the explosives were removed.
