New Details About Thurmont Assault

The victim may have been injured significantly.

 

 

Thurmont, Md (KM) The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says it’s still searching for a man and a woman in connection with an assault Tuesday evening along the shoulder of Route 15 near Roddy Creek Road in Thurmont. But it has released additional information it received  regarding the incident.

Authorities say the man who was involved with a woman in a verbal and physical altercation is about 35 to 45 years of age, average build, wearing a red hat and red shirt. He has short black hair and a goatee. The woman is also about 35 to 45 years of age, 5’7″, average build with puffy blond to dirty blond hair, wearing a tan shirt and gray pants.

Investigators believe the woman may have been significantly injured from this assault.  They also says the two knew each other and were traveling together. Both rode away a white pickup truck with tinted windows and a white cap over the bed. The vehicle also had tool boxes and railings.

As of Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office says it has not identified the two individuals despite “outstanding assistance from the public in providing additional information.”
