Officials say people who used closed fields could be subject to penalties.
Frederick, Md. (KM) The City of Frederick says McCurdy Field, Fleming Fields and all softball and baseball fields are closed today due to wet conditions. When city sports fields are closed, that means all city-leased fields and city school fields are also closed.
No one is permitted to use the fields when they are closed. Violators could face penalties. If a permitted league is found using a closed field, that group could be fined or face the loss of usage of the field. If unpemitted users are found to be using a closed field, a warning or a citation could be issued.
