While many people are thinking about Halloween, some are already looking forward to the Christmas season. Kimberly Scritchfield with the Frederick County Department of Social Services says the organization is looking for people to participate in their Holiday Gift Project.
They’re hoping to have all of the sponsors in place by the end of the month. Last year, 575 families received gifts thanks to this program, and Scritchfield says they’re always very appreciative.
“They are just the most thankful people when they receive these gifts. It’s a wonderful way to participate and to give back to the community that we all love and want to support,” said Scritchfield.
