Frederick House Fire Causes $100,000 In Damages

The family dog was killed as a result of the fire.

Frederick, MD  (LG)  Four people were displaced Friday morning after their home caught fire in the 2100 block of Archete Lane, in Frederick.

“Units were dispatched at around 9:45 a.m.,” said Battalion Chief Kevin Fox, Frederick County Fire and Rescue Services.  “First arriving units could see smoke coming from all windows of the home.  The fire was knocked down within 20 minutes.  The Fire Marshal says it originated near a hot water heater in the basement of the home.”

The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.
