It’s expected to reopen on Nov. 12th.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Office of Transportation Engineering says Ijamsville Road between Old National Pike (Rt. 144) and Ritchie Way will be closed for another week. Officials say they had anticipated reopening that stretch of roadway on November 3rd, but the closure has been extended to November 12th.
The delay is due to unforeseen rock formations that needed to be removed, and recent heavy rains which has slowed down the improvements to the road.
There will be no access to this section of Ijamsville Road.
Traffic is being detoured to Old National Pike (Rt. 144), Ritchie Drive and Mussetter Road.
