Frederick County Grand Jury Very Busy Friday

Numerous indictments were handed down.

FREDERICK, MD. (LG)  It was a busy day Friday for a Frederick County Grand Jury.  States Attorney Charles Smith said many indictments were handed down. “But there were a number of cases that are under seal, so they haven’t been served yet, so we can’t talk about them,” he said.

But he did say that Jonathan Alley, of Brunswick, Md., was indicted on charges of carjacking, first and second degree assault, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and other related offenses.  “This was a really terrible domestic violence case.  The defendant saw some texts messages on the victim’s phone that were from an ex-boyfriend.  The victim told officers that Alley ripped her keys out of her hand, and when she tried to leave his residence, he cornered her on the side of her van and was punching her and slamming her head into the concrete. Alley then took the victim’s van and crashed it into several parked cars.”

Also indicted was Tynell Parrish, of Frederick, on sex abuse of minor charges, Antonio Little, of Frederick, on drug offenses, Eric Kearney, of Hagerstown, for possession of cocaine, Daniel Curry, of Ruther Glen, Va., for numerous drug offenses, and Michael Lee King, of Mt. Airy, Md., for cocaine and heroine possession.
