Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested On Friday

He’s charged with taking two phones from the victim in downtown Frederick.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police Officers on Friday evening arrested a suspect in an armed robbery which occurred earlier in the day. Troyvonte Camaar Burns, 25, of Frederick,  is charged with one count each of armed robbery, 1st-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft between $1,500 and $25,00..

At around 2:15 in the 300 block of North Market Street, the victim says he was approached by an individual who asked about buying a phone. The suspect took two phones from the victim, and threatened that person with a weapon.

Investigators identified Burns as the suspect.

At around 8:00 PM on Friday, officers with the Street Crimes Unit saw Burns in the 500 block of Klinehart’s Alley. He was taken into custody after a brief pursuit.

Authorities say the investigation into this armed robbery is continuing, and anyone who has information is asked to contact Frederick Police.
