Bethesda, Md. (KK) Tragedy struck Saturday night as three people were killed in a plane crash. The Cessna 172 was on its way from Kansas City, Missouri to Frederick Municipal Airport. The three people killed in that crash include 64-year-old Doctor Lou Cantilena who was a professor of medicine and pharmacology at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda. His daughter 31-year-old Amy was following in his footsteps studying medicine at the University of Kansas. Richard Thomas is the president of Uniformed Services University.
“The entire university joins me in extending our heartfelt condolences to his wife and his entire family in this very difficult time for them,” said Thomas.
65-year-old Paul Schuda was also killed. He was the director of the National Transportation Safety Board’s training center in Ashburn. An investigation by the Indiana State Police and the National Transportation Safety Board is ongoing.
