The victim suffered minor injuries, officers say.
Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police are investigating an assault which occurred Friday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Heather Ridge Drive at around 8:20 AM for a report of gunshots in the area. They located the victim who had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Authorities say the victim was not hurt by gunfire.
A silver sedan was seen leaving the area shortly after the assault.
