Snow Emergency Plan In Effect For Frederick County

Parking along designated Snow Emergency Routes is prohibited.

Frederick, Md (KM).  The Maryland State Police have put the Snow Emergency Plan in effect. That means motorists may not drive a vehicle on Snow Emergency Routes unless it’s equipped  with snow tires, chains or all  weather tires.

Parking is also prohibited on designated Snow Emergency Routes.  Violators could have their vehicle subject to towing.

State Police say accumulation of snow and ice was the main factor in putting the Snow Emergency Plan in effect.   It will be lifted when the roads are deem safe for travel.
