Authorities Search For Armed Robbery Suspect

Hagerstown, Md (KM) State Police are searching for a suspect who robbed the Pilot Travel Center in Hagerstown early Tuesday morning.

A man carrying a long gun entered the business at 11633 Greencastle Pike. He grabbed a female cashier and demanded she open the register.. At that time, he was pointing the weapon toward her neck. She opened the register and the man grabbed an undisclosed amount of money. He fled on foot off out of the front door.

Two dogs from the Hagerstown Police Department assisted in the search for the suspect but were unsuccessful. The canines tracked the suspect which ended at the Service Tire Truck Center at 11529 French Lane.

He’s described as wearing a dark Carhartt style jacket, dark scarf covering his face with a hood pulled down over his head.
