Frederick Police Asking Public’s Assistance In Fraud Investigation

Two individuals  made purchases & opened accounts using the victim’s Social Security number.

 


Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police are asking the public’s help in locating two suspects in a fraud investigation.

In November, 2017, the two individuals used the victim’s Social Security number to open up accounts in her name. The victim found out about this activity when she received a billing statement from Verizon.

Authorities say on November 28th, the two individuals purchased two iPhones from the Verizon store at 1003 West Patrick Street, and then set up phone lines for each phone. They also made purchases at the JP Penny and Victoria’s Secret stores at the F-S-K Mall, opening credit card accounts using the victim’s Social Security number.

Police have obtained photos of these individuals, and if you recognize them,   you’re asked to contact Frederick Police.
