FREDERICK, Md. (KK) – You may experience some delays if you’re driving on I-270 late Monday night. Charlie Gischlar with the State Highway Administration says the ramp from I-270 to Buckeystown Pike will be closed so that crews can install a drainage pipe across the ramp.
It’s part of a $65 million project. The project also includes lighting upgrades, ramp reconstruction, and landscape improvements.
“As part of the bridge project, there’s going to be shifting of traffic up that way which means we’ll shift traffic over and start demolishing the one side of the bridge and then building up the other bridge,” said Gischlar.
The ramp is expected to be open by 5 a.m. Tuesday.
